 In his statement regarding the issues related to the development of the corridor in Addis Ababa, the Director General of the Ethiopian Heritage Authority, Assistant Prof.

 According to this, there are those who have been registered before and will continue as heritage, while those who do not meet the requirements according to the guidelines will not continue.

 A few days ago, the authority announced in Addis Ababa reconstruction and corridor development that houses and areas that do not meet the criteria of heritage will be redeveloped and their previous names and services will continue.

 They stated that several criteria have been set for the houses to be registered as heritage, including their history, their current external and internal appearance, their age, and architecture.

 According to the set standards, a house that scores more than 50 percent will be registered as a heritage, and on the other hand, a house with a score of less than 50 cannot be registered as a heritage.

 The director-general used the fact that development work and the process of preserving heritage should go hand-in-hand. He mentioned that he will focus on protecting and preserving the country's highly significant heritage.
